Florida Legislators Target Hemp-derived Cannabinoids

Florida is one of the latest states poised to shut down the intoxicating hemp-derived cannabinoid market. The Florida House voted yesterday to adopt the legislation that would reclassify isomers like delta-8 THC as non-hemp substances.

Proponents of the bill cite increased community safety, especially from provisions that forbid companies from marketing products that are appealing to children. Many of these are virtually identical to commonly available candies in the marketplace.
