Several sellers reported firm demand from furniture tanners but remain unable to pay increased levels for raw material from the current market while leather prices remain steady.
Automotive tanners remain relatively inactive while they continue to work through their previously purchased hide inventories and incoming leather orders from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) remain inconsistent.
