Grease markets higher while UCO and DCO prices fall

Distiller’s corn oil (DCO) traded in a range of 47-47.25 cents lb delivered US Gulf today on what was otherwise a quiet close to the week.
For the week, price direction was mixed. DCO FOB Mo. River was down 1.4 percent from last week’s average and used cooking oil delivered into the US Gulf market was down by 0.9 percent. The lower prices were primarily driven by weaker demand coming from the biofuels sector.
Feed demand was supportive of grease prices with choice white up 3.5 percent from last week’s average and yellow grease up 1.3 percent, both FOB Mo. River.
