Hide demand from buyers minimal; outstanding hide sales increase

Hide trading on Tuesday May 14 continued with the same quiet tone as the day prior, and sellers reported minimal hide demand from buyers. US hide sellers are expected to release hide offers during the night of Tuesday.

A few sellers said that they received buyers at price levels consistent with the week prior.

The consumer price index (CPI) report for April is expected to be updated on Wednesday May 15. Several economists expect the core CPI to increase by 0.3% from the month prior, which was recorded at 3.8%.
