Australian cattle slaughter rises 16% year on year, hits multi-year high: MLA

Meat and bone meal (MBM) prices into the Asian market were steady in the week to Thursday May 23. The only change reported was a higher price into Vietnam, topping out at $440 per tonne.

Sellers in Australia were hopeful that the reapproval process for MBM exports to Indonesia will move quickly, but sources said that recent elections in Indonesia may delay the process.
