New York moves decisively against illicit cannabis shops

The Office of Cannabis Management in New York, like many other states, is now forced to deal with an abundance of black-market cannabis. Each state’s experience with cannabis legalization is different, and New York has its own bespoke policy drawing on the experience of other states like California and Illinois.
