US hide export shipments drop below weekly, yearly levels

Hide trading in the US picked up on Tuesday June 25, although many sources continued to note sluggish demand.

Regular-weight heavy native steer (HNS) hides traded down by $0.50 per piece to $28 per piece, and regular-weight heavy Texas steer (HTS) hides traded down by $1 per piece to $21.50 per piece.

Regular-weight butt branded steers (BBS) traded down by $0.50 per piece to $25 per piece, and regular-weight Colorado branded steers (CBS) traded down by $0.50 per piece to $18 per piece.

Meanwhile, regular-weight heavy branded heifers (HBH) traded down by $0.50 per piece to $16 per piece.

Cured and wet blue export shipments by selected countries through June 13
