Demand, trading lackluster in US hide market

The US hide market was quiet on Monday July 1 given lackluster demand and slow leather orders.

Fastmarkets’ price assessment for lightweight heavy native steer hide was $28 per piece on Monday, down by $1 per piece from the previous report, bringing it in line with the lower price of the regular weight hide selection.
