Sources in the US animal proteins market reported unease amid a drop in soybean meal prices and global economic uncertainty; Fastmarkets also heard on Tuesday August 6 that several products were under price pressure due to the hurricane in the US Southeast.
Fastmarkets assessed bloodmeal, porcine, fob Missouri River at $1,050-1,150 per short ton on Tuesday, unchanged from Monday August 5.
Traded prices for porcine bloodmeal were reported as low as $1,000 per short ton and as high as $1,180 per short ton on the Missouri River market, but neither end of the range could be confirmed as of press time.
Feathermeal (FM) prices were steady in all six regions on Tuesday; trades under the assessed range were indicated but could not be confirmed as of press time.
