Chicago Mercantile Exchange grain prices fell on Friday December 13, with the January soybean futures contract decreasing by 7.50 cents per bushel to settle at $9.88 per bu and January soymeal dropping by $3.30 per short ton to $286.20 per ton.
Meanwhile, the March CME corn futures contract declined by 1.50 cents per bu to $4.42 per bu, and March wheat futures fell by 6.25 cents per bu to $5.52 per bu.
Soybean prices continued to decline after another round of technical selling, driven by large supplies and somewhat sluggish export demand. Wheat prices faced moderate losses due to technical selling, partly fueled by large global supplies and disappointing export sales reported earlier this week. Corn prices showed a modest setback, influenced by technical selling and spillover weakness from soybeans and wheat.
