November US soybean crush, corn consumption down month on month

US soybean crush below monthly levels
Soybeans crushed for crude oil totaled 210 million bushels in November, down by 2.66% from October, but up by 4.97% from November 2023, according to the USDA’s Fats and Oils: Oilseed Crushing, Production, Consumption and Stocks report released on Thursday January 2.

Crude oil production totaled 2.49 billion lb, down by 3% month on month, but up by 7% year on year.

Soybean oil production reached 1.78 billion lb during November, down by 10% from October, but up by 5% from November 2023.

Soybean meal production stood at 4.66 million short tons, down by 2.3% month on month, but up by 6% year on year.

Production of soymeal intended for animal feed totaled 4.588 million tons, while production for edible protein products reached 74,598 tons.

Soymeal stocks totaled 463,019 tons in November, up by 52.6% from October and by 78.1% from November 2023.
