US animal proteins prices were generally flat for the week to Friday January 17, though prior price moves from last week for meat and bonemeal, bloodmeal and poultry by-product pet food have led to week-on-week price adjustments.
Ruminant meat and bonemeal, Missouri River, prices were rangebound for the week. But the average of $207.50 per short ton in the week to Friday was down by 2.81% from the week to January 10, when values were $213.50 per ton. Downward price pressure has been consistently communicated from market sources through the week, though limited trade volume kept prices stagnant.
