Growing plans for 2020 are very fluid.  We have heard from a number of operators their intention to scale back or forgo cultivation this year.  Seed suppliers, who generally seem loathe to share information, are no doubt seeing significantly lower sales volume this year.  Quality seed is reportedly moving at pennies on the dollar in some channels.  As with all things hemp, there is a lot of diversity in this segment. 

 

As we scrutinize supply for biomass, there are a number of factors at play, not the least of which is coronavirus.  The disruption has been a precipitating factor in all corners of the hemp universe, but 2020 cultivation plans are particularly influenced by the current situation.
