Slaughter continues at heavy volume.

Fresh raw hides continue to quote at zero peso’s value. This encourages several frigorificos to export wet salted hides for the first time, taking advantage of the temporary suspension of the export tax rate.

The abundant offerings of raw wet salted hides continue from all over the country. Good quality Buenos Aires wet salted heavy steers prices remain unchanged, similar to the very limited demand. Prices continue to trade around US$0.04 per kg.

Tanneries continue to work at half capacity since the Northern Hemisphere is in vacation season, there is little demand for export.
