Organic Turkey Slaughter Continues to Trend HIgher

 

Organic soybean meal prices remain buoyed despite a seasonal decline that should ease prices during the Q4. A solid crop is expected in India of nearly 12-million metric tons of beans which should eventually whey on both meal and bean prices. In the US, organic soybeans are hard to come by ahead of new crop and most new-crop beans are already committed according to merchandisers. Imported organic soybean meal prices are currently trading near 700 per short ton picked up in Baltimore, custom cleared and slightly lower for the Q4 near $685. Prices in the South-Central PA region are hovering near $740/$750 for spot meal and about $25 per short-ton lower for the Q4.
