Agricultural crops have seen declining ratings as the season progresses. Roughly a quarter of the US corn crop in the 18 major corn producing states rates “Fair” today, while 9% rates “Poor” and 5% of the overall crop rates “Very Poor”.  This leaves 45% of the crop rating “Good” and the remaining 15% as “Excellent”.  This is a good illustration of the variability of crop performance around the country, and hemp is no exception.  We do not believe a similar decline in the overall hemp crop will have sufficient impact on supply or hemp prices.  Wildfires remain an unknown though. 

The Oregon flower crop has seen good weather this year but is one of many areas in the Western US that is experiencing wildfires.  There is no way to predict what will happen with so many uncontrolled blazes.  The heart of hemp production in Southern Oregon was ravaged…
