Slaughter continues at steady volumes, mainly light-weighted cattle due the lack of heavy-weighted cattle.

Due to the government decreed suspension of the export tax rate for two months, raw prices are soaring on both, raw fresh and raw wet salted hides by approximately the same tax rate.

Frigorificos raw fresh hides are quoting about Arg$11/12 (US$0.14 per kg), which many are not paying. However, others are buying the same because of the commitments made. There is uncertainty of how the market will continue.

Good quality Buenos Aires wet salted heavy steers are quoting upwards at about US$0.18 per kg.
