The US is voting today, and the electorate will choose the next President, as well as congressional seats in some 34 states.  For many years, polling was a reliable barometer of the election, and analysts were able to predict outcomes on election nights, before the West Coast went to sleep, and sometimes, the East Coast.  Then Bush v.
