UCO Prices Higher to Close Out November

Used cooking oil (UCO) prices were higher out of the California markets today. UCO prices throughout the country moved higher through November on supply concerns and strong demand tied to renewable fuel production. At current levels, UCO out of the APAC markets may start to become more attactive for import into the US. 

Hog slaughter finished last week at an estimated 2.35 million head, up 1.2 percent from a year ago levels and down 13 percent from the week prior. The slaughter is forecast to trend lower over the next six weeks, averaging 2.48 million head per week….
