November Argentine slaughter totaled 1.24 million head, in line with the strong demand and steady paced slaughter.

There was a decrease of 1% compared to October and a rise of 2% compared to November 2019.

This work week is short in Argentina, as on Tuesday was the “Day of the Virgin”. Monday is also a holiday, called “Bridge Day”, so the work week begun on Wednesday.

Thus, in the 3 days of production, frigorificos have been producing the leftover hides. Fresh raw hides are paid light at 14 pesos, heavy at 16 pesos, cows at 4 pesos per fresh kg in BsAs area. The suspension of export rights for salted products continues until the end of the year.

Good quality Buenos Aires wet salted heavy steers are unchanged from last week’s price of US$0.24 per kg.
