Cattle Hide Demand Steady, Shipping Concerns Persist

Hide demand continues to be steady despite shipping concerns. Wuji is shutting down ports due to the COVID-19 outbreak which poses a major issue for hide exports and imports. Transportation to Mexico is running fairly smooth, but the staffing for drivers is a bit limited as employees take time off for the holidays. Suppliers have been firm on higher prices, while reaction from the buyers has been mixed to start the year.
