Butt Branded Steers Finish Week At Higher Price

Butt Branded Steers Finish Week At Higher Price

Demand for Packer Heavy Native Steers (HNS) continues to be strong and the limited supply is contributing to strong prices. Other packer steer hides are under pressure, now that the demand from the auto sector isn’t as strong for material under the higher quality HNS. Despite these reports, Butt Branded Steer (BBS) for jumbo weight material moved $1 higher on packer material today. Native Cow (NC) hides also increased in price. Packer hide Northern NC moved $2 higher than last traded prices. Processor hides have kept a strong position in the market, trading up from the last trading day for Dairy Cow (DC) and NC material.
