Renewable Diesel Imports Poised to Reach Record Volume in 2020

** Notice** The Jacobsen will discontinue reporting various price points beginning in February 2021. Regional biodiesel reporting as well as The Jacobsen B100 Index will be removed in favor of additional biodiesel and renewable diesel price points. Renewable Diesel (cents/gal) California LA will be eliminated along with Biodiesel LA CA dlvd ($/MT). International reporting will be adjusted to better reflect both the Renewable Diesel and Biodiesel Market.

 

2020 Biomass-Based Diesel Imports 12% Over 2019 with One Month to Report

According to the Energy Information Agency (EIA), the United States imported 45.9 million gallons of biomass-based diesel (D4) during November. Imports of D4 were five percent over October imports and 19 percent above the November 2019.
