Indian Soybean Prices Continue to Rise

 

Indian soybean prices hit their highest level in U.S. dollars per metric ton on Wednesday. The price in U.S. dollars per metric ton rose to $724. The rise in the price is due to an increase in the prices on the NCDEX in conjunction with an increase in the value of the Rupee versus the U.S. dollar. The certification issues that APEDA is dealing with appear to be easing, but Indian exports are still reticent to provide firm offers on organic soybean meal and organic soybeans. Meanwhile, prices in the organic soybean and bi-product market continue to remain very elevated.

Organic Chicken Retail Sales Continue to Trend Higher

Organic chicken retail sales continue to outperform. February, like January, showed double-digit returns for organic chicken retail sales sold in supermarkets and big-box stores across the United States. The retail sales trend has an upward trajectory and is outperform the year-over-year growth seen in retail grocery store sales.
