DDGS Supply Climbs to 7-Week High as Ethanol Stocks Fall to 14-Week Low
Ethanol production continued to move higher as weather related issues subsided. DDGS and ethanol output increased 89,000 barrels per day to a 938 thousand-barrel-per-day average during the week ending March 5, 2021. Weekly ethanol output was 10 percent above the week prior but 10 percent below levels seen at this time last year. DDGS output increased 8,465 MT per day from last week but was 10,081 MT’s per day below production from a year ago.
Gasoline supply increased seven percent but was eight percent below 2020 levels for the same period. Ethanol stocks declined nearly two percent to 22.1 million barrels, reaching a 14-week low. Imports of sugarcane ethanol were absent on the West Coast for the twelfth consecutive week. Increased…
