Trading was steady in the animal protein market with no changes reported. Sellers continue to push for higher numbers on both porcine and ruminant MBM. July soybean meal futures were off $5.70 this afternoon, settling at $421.10. Animal proteins remain very well valued on a per unit of protein basis versus soybean meal. Feathermeal (FM) prices did move lower this week with sources suggesting a combination of April reformulations and container shortages contributing to the downturn.
