 Conference is ongoing today and tomorrow, hosted by the University Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine.  The conference is similar to OSU’s symposium earlier this year with its focus on academic research.  Veterinarians, industry stakeholders, and researchers from a wide range of disciplines are covering subjects related to the complex regulatory status of hemp products, the swiftly changing science of extraction, and ubiquitous variances plaguing analytical testing. 

The issues being explored are the same as those for humans in many cases, aside from regulatory differences and difference in agency oversight.    One thing is clear: the market for pet products containing hemp derivatives is booming.
