The government ban of beef exports has completed the 30-day probation. However, the intention to lower prices did not occur when, in fact, the prices increased. Additionally, the annual Hilton quota is under permit by Europe. If traders don’t comply, they run the risk of not receiving the report in the following year.

Slaughter is working at a normal rate this week due to the recovery from the livestock strike, but the expectation of next week is uncertain. There are frigorificos that are not working because their inventory were so high due to the export ban.

Rawhide prices have repeated for the fourth consecutive week, but some can get lower.

Green fresh hides continue quoting at about Arg.pesos 70/72 per kg.
