Researchers at North Dakota State University (NDSU) are making progress in their efforts to understand both the production of industrial hemp and the applications. Yesterday’s event at the Hettinger Research Station in Hettinger, ND featured lead hemp researchers from NDSU in various disciplines. Yesterday’s commentary noted the university’s cattle research, which the work of Kendall Swanson, who is researching opportunities for finishing cattle with hempseed meal. He is one of a core group of university researchers in the US doing research with various livestock species that we’ve discussed here regularly.
