 yesterday in a vote of 92-8.  This unusual bipartisan “Growing Climate Solutions Act of 2021” faces an uncertain fate in the House.  The bill provides for technical assistance to farmers and will establish a certification program for private carbon exchanges.

 CME Group’s launch of a “nature-based’ global emissions offset futures contracts.  This encompasses agriculture and forestry practices that provide for a net reduction in CO2 by storing, or sequestering carbon in soils and other organic matter.
