LCFS Credit Price Hits a 77-Week Low on July 1

 

LCFS Credit Volume 17% Over Weekly Average 

LCFS credit volume continued to be strong entering the first week of the third quarter.  Weekly volume of 558,455 was 21 percent below the prior week but 17 percent above the 2021 weekly average of 475,922.  Third quarter volume starts 23 percent below second quarter volume but 16 percent over Q3 of 2020. The average price paid per credit declined $3.37 to $187.81. However, the lowest trade for the week was $156.14, reaching a 77-week low on the low end of the trading range. Of the 46 transactions posted, Type 1 transfers totaled 181,898 credits and Type 2 transfers 376,557 credits. Type 1 transfers accounted for 33 percent of the transactions and 33 percent of the volume.
