Packer Hides Well Sold at Smaller Volumes Compared to Prior Week

US packers are well sold at this point in the week, with fed steer selections firm to up $1-3. Packer Heavy Texas Steer hides were reported $1-$6 higher than yesterday’s trading levels. Bidding activity is firm, but concluded trades are limited. There has been less trading activity this week compared to the last two weeks because the shorter holiday week. More business is expected tomorrow and continuing into the weekend.
