UCO Higher in NorCal and SoCal

An upward swing on used cooking oil (UCO) and yellow grease (YG) was noted with a high of ¢57/lb on UCO NorCal and SoCal FOB market and ¢50.5/lb on YG for the LA/SF region. Most participants noted less activity today than the previous day as the weekend approaches. The most recent report to African Swine Fever (ASF) in the Dominican Republic late yesterday has led to unsettled tones and heightened uncertainties of some participants in the market.

Yellow Grease (YG) on the Missouri River FOB market is presently at ¢43.54/lb, only a modest gain from the previous month of June.
