European New Crop Organic Grain Offers Evaporate

New-crop organic grain prices in Europe are elevated, but even more worrisome is that farmers are holding on to their crops. Merchandisers tell Fastmarkets/The Jacobsen that Indian organic soybean meal is offered near €1,350 delivered in Denmark. There also appears to be a lack of offers for both organic corn and organic wheat. The tightness in organic grains in the EU seems to function the elevated prices for conventional grains.

The spread between conventional corn in the Black Sea and Organic corn in the Black Sea region has narrowed, spilling over into the demand for European organic grains. Offers are challenging to come by.
