There is an undercurrent of disillusionment for hemp on the part of legislators and lawmakers.  The impetus for this sagging enthusiasm is partly due to competing legislative issues but is also stoked by frustrations that have arisen from nationwide cannabinoid hemp production.   

 The MJ-like hemp flower was among the biggest surprises for law enforcement and local prosecutors’ offices, but it didn’t stop there.  Some operators have maintained significant inventories of technically illegal extracts, and DEA responded with its Interim Final Rule (IFR) wherein hot extracts were deemed Schedule 1.  Concentrate CBD and you get commensurately high levels of THC, which can either be diluted during product formulation to fall below the mandated .3% THC or remediated to remove ‘all’ of the THC.
