NIHC to Rollout Standards Program

National Industrial Hemp Council (NIHC) President and CEO Patrick Atagi announced yesterday at the final day of the NIHC Business Summit that the organization will assume a certifying role.  Certifications play a role across the gamut of markets and industries, such as certified organic certification in agriculture or cGMP ones in manufacturing.  

The challenge for hemp in this respect is that we are talking about disparate industries, really.  Cannabinoids and fiber have little in common in terms of manufacturing processes, marketing, or product safety. The core issues for one aren’t germane to the other.
