Raw hide prices are stable despite unchanged demand and low slaughter. There is a greater predominance of smaller hides slaughtered than heavy steers and cows. The beef export ban continued to negatively impact the market. 

Good quality Buenos Aires wet salted steers continue unchanged from last week, quoting at about US$0.70 per kg.

There are not many salted hides available, as many have hoarded these hides in hopes of better prices.

Demand in semi-finished leather for footwear and leather goods continues the same as last week with more movement for home upholstery than car upholstery.
