Industry Group Calls for RFS Finalization to Foster Energy Independence

Industry group Clean Fuels Alliance America sent a letter to U.S. President Joe Biden on March 10, urging his administration to finalize proposed Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) volumes for 2021 and 2022 to help promote U.S. energy independence. Amid heightened geopolitical tensions, most notably Russia’s recent invasion of Ukraine, prices for most commodities, but espeically crude oil and gasoline, have soared as a result of economic sanctions and supply disruptions. Russia is a major supplier of the world’s crude oil.
