Steer trading was active for buyers in Mexico with heavy native and butt branded steers trading sideways for regular weight packer material and $1 higher than last traded levels for light weight heavy native steers material.
Sellers reported minimal carryover business over the weekend except for the 20+ loads of material going to Mexico.
A few packer plan to hold their offers steady to last week whereas some plan to increase asking prices due to the demand they’ve reportedly received last week.
