Moderate Hide Bidding Activity Midweek

Bidding activity was moderate today at prices levels that were a few dollars below asking prices. Automotive tanners were more active in the market in the first half of the week looking for mainly heavy native and butt branded steers.

Light weight heavy native steers were reported $1 below yesterday’s level, but steady to Friday’s price range.

A trader reported shoe tanners were active in the market this week but are hesitant to pay price levels higher than current market.
