Cannabinoid Specifications Lacking in Retail and Wholesale Markets

The hemp-derived cannabinoid segment has achieved minimal standardization since hemp was legalized in late 2018.  Some aspects of these markets have organized around loose practices, but even volume measurements for extracts present some challenges when marketed interchangeably by the Kg or liter.

Now that delta-8 THC is legal in some key markets, safety standards will increasingly shape them.  States seem to be talking to each other now.  Emerging policy reflects this and contributes to some standardization around product safety.
