Slaughter has slowed due to increased cattle prices and heavy rains. Some frigorificos have completely halted operations while others run one or two days or have less volume slaughtered.
Prices have accompanied the devaluation, so they have not changed in US Dollars. In this case, good quality Buenos Aires wet salted heavy steer prices continue quoting at about US$0.49 per kg.
Export prices and demand have not changed.
Many are curious about the outcome of the leather fair in Shanghai in terms of market direction.

Slaughter stays unchanged from last week.
Last weekend’s primary elections brought confusion on all markets. Several various events took place, including a beef export prohibition which was removed a few hours later.
