Soybean Oil Stocks Fall to 71-Month Low, Crush Reaches 11-Month Low

The National Oilseed Processors Association (NOPA) reported the August soybean crush at 161.453 million bushels, 6.8 percent below the July crush and 2.5 percent under the 165.538 million bushels processed during August 2022. The August crush is typically one of the lowest crush totals of the year, as some processors idle plants for seasonal maintenance ahead of the new crop harvest. Despite reduced expectations, the August crush total fell below analyst expectations that ranged between 161.28 million to 171 million bushels with a median analyst estimates of 167.802 million bushels.
