The week closed with steer hide reports down $0.50 to $1 from last traded levels. Bids from Chinese tanners were firm on lower than current market prices this week. Some sellers needed to sell and took lower prices in order to keep product moving. Some sellers expect negotiations to continue into the weekend which could start next week off with a lot of activity.
