Fat and UCO Exports Up from August, Trail 2022

The overall tone of the market was very quiet today but there was trading done at lower prices. Lower soybean oil and heating oil prices weighed on market sentiment. While trading was done at lower prices, the volume has slowed relative to the movement seen through October.

Yellow grease and used cooking oil (UCO) did trade lower out of the California markets. Choice white grease traded in a wide range, 43 – 46 cts/lb. Sources indicated that they’ve “seen more material offered this week.”

Tallow remains quiet with technical tallow still offered out at 54.5 Chicago. Renderer BFT will be unquoted at the close of trade tomorrow if there is no trading due to inactivity.

Distiller’s corn oil traded lower out of the IL/WI market for November and December, down to a low of 52 cts/lb.
