EU Raw Hemp Imports Trend Upwards

Imports of raw hemp from the EU have increased marginally in 2023, primarily from the Netherlands and Lithuania.  This year’s data does not reflect imports beyond September, so year over year growth from the EU could creep upwards once all trade data is complete in early 2024.  The category is defined as:

true hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) that is raw or processed but not spun. It also includes tow and waste of true hemp, including yarn waste and garnetted stock.
