Fats Market Ends Year with Lower Prices

Animal fats and oils markets ended the year without much of a bang, with most market participants already absent from their desks for the upcoming New Year’s holiday on Monday.   

On the week, price averages were down 1-2 percent. Mo. River yellow grease was down 2.0 percent, while choice white grease and Gulf used cooking oil decreased 1.32 percent and 1.72 percent, respectively, for the weekly period.
