Danone Divests Key Organic Interests

While there has been an uptick in the sales volume of conventional and organic yogurt in the United States in 2023, Danone has decided to move on from its Horizon and Wallaby businesses. The French food company announced on Tuesday that it will sell its organic yogurt businesses to Platinum Equity Group, a private equity concern.

According to sources Danone will retain a minority stake in the business. Danone announced in January 2022 that it was exploring different options. Organic yogurt made up approximately 3 percent of Danone’s total revenue.
