Trading was active in the US hide market for Butt Branded Steers (BBS), Colorado Branded Steers (CBS), Heavy Texas Steers (HTS) and Northern and Southwestern Dairy Cows (NDC and SDC). Jumbo weight BBS hides increased $0.75/piece from last reported levels, regular-weight CBS and HTS hides traded sideways, jumbo weight HTS hides traded sideways, as did NDC and SDC hides.
The price spreads for Northern and Southwestern Native Cow (NNC and SNC) hides were adjusted due to several increased price assessments from market players. The increases were driven by leather handbag and accessory demand.
