Lexi Watts out of Office March 8

Lexi Watts will be out of the office Friday, March 8. She will return on Monday, March 11. In her absence, please contact Ryan Capozziello at 203-892-7209 or [email protected] with any questions or trades to report.

According to several sellers, hide trading today was within price ranges listed on The Jacobsen Price Guide. Regular-weight Butt Branded Steer (BBS) hides traded up $0.50/piece from last reported levels. The higher price was driven by increased buying activity from automotive tanners this week, after a notable absence. A few automotive tanners have resumed their incoming hide shipments that had been delayed over the holidays and are inquiring about new purchases. An automotive tanner shared that April pickups were expected to increase from the lows in February.
